As your furniture is an entire real hardwood structure, they are still living and breathing even when they are raw or secured in a ‘glued-up’ piece.
· Due to living timber behaviours, please avoid covering or wrapping your wooden furniture.
Wrapping or covering the timber surfaces create humidity, so that moisture imbalance may occur. Eventually, this may cause unexpected damages or movements of the overall structure, such as timber bending, bowing, etc...
Leaving the surface fully exposed is highly recommended.
As air flow is vital for these living creatures, please let them breathe!
· Please do not place furniture near to direct sunlight and direct heater sources (Floor ducted heater, Fan heater, too close to the fireplace, hot water system insulation failure, etc.)
Extreme weather conditions (too humid or too dry) or sudden temperature fluctuations may damage the timber structure.
· Since your furniture is made from 100% natural solid timber, and they’re all treated with organic treatment, please keep your furniture dry and protected from mother nature’s elements.
Our vanities are designed to function under humid environmental conditions, not wet conditions.
Please do not soak them in water.
We're not operating a boathouse yet :)
· Please always secure our furniture on a flat and sturdy surface. Our furniture's loading capacity depends on installation methods and techniques, to comply with AS rating (Australian standard).
Finally, please treat our works with care and respect, so that they can be a part of your lifetime journey.
Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
Wipe dry with a clean cloth.
Simple, yet effective.
· When your order arrives at your place, the timber treatment is still fresh & it would need time to cure completely, please make sure any water, liquid spills are wiped up immediately (at least for the first 3 weeks).
· Commercial cleaning products or heavy bleaches/ detergents should be avoided. They are designed to dissolve grease & oil, and over time, will break down the natural timber oil & do more harm than calm to the timber surface.
Avoid contact with acidic liquids such as vinegar or lemon juice. Baking soda mixture is also not recommended.
· As all our works are treated with organic Osmo hardwax oil, please refer to Osmo Australia for further maintenance instructions regarding the product finish.
Applied for vanity/cabinet designs only.
